text: 1103 – Feb. 28 1105. At the request of the late Johannes filius et canonicus ecclesię Sancti Sepulcri, Raymond [of St Gilles], comes atque christianᶒ militiᶒ excellentissimus princeps in partibus Syriᶒ makes an eleemosynary gift to the church of the Holy Sepulchre of a house on Mont Pèlerin, which had been a mosque [que domus antiquo tempore immundis paganorum supersticionibus dedita fuerit]. It is to be converted into a church. At the request of Johannes, Raymond also gives the church of the Holy Sepulchre the church of Sanctus Georgius quę est in montanis, in the presence of Decanus de Poscheriis; capellanus suus Pons de Grilione; Rostagnus de Port; and Bernardus prior de Bethleem. Raymond further promises that once the city of Tripoli is in his hands he will give the church of the Holy Sepulchre the next best church in the city after the principal one, together with revenues sufficient to support 13 clergy [clerici] in residence.
