text: Before May 31. With the agreement of his wife Gisla and his heirs, Iohannes Fulco records that he has sold 2 houses to Willelmus Baptizatus de Blancagarda for 97 besants. The houses owe rent [census] of 1 besant to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. They are divided by a road and are on the eastern side next to the new gate called the Porta de Balcayra. One of the houses adjoins to the east the house of Girardus and on its southern side the wall of the city. The other house adjoins to the north the house of Galterus de Betenuble. Witnesses: Balianus castellanus Ierusalem; Arnulfus de Blancagarda; Robertus Niger; magister Bernardus; Willelmus Beraldus; Willelmus Patrun; Lambertus Patriarcha; Gaufridus Bocherius; Vldricus Baptizatus; Willelmus de Ponz. The charter was drawn up on the orders of Balianus castellanus Jerusalem and the jurati [of the burgess court of Jerusalem].
