text: Early in year - Sept. 23. At the request of Iohannes abbas and all the convent of the abbey of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat, Balianus Neapolis atque Ybelis dominus, with the agreement of the lady queen his wife, records under seal that he ordered a drawing of the boundaries of the land of Ascar and the land of the mountain above Ascar, the latter being in the lordship of Nablus, and he mandated Bernardus Pelliparius, Guido raitz and Guido de Ascar to investigate. These burgenses went to the site and put boundary marks [metae et bunnae] marked with crosses to indicate the boundaries. Witnesses: Garinus Gainardus; Iohannes Lumbart; Hodo de Marne; Reimundus Bobin.

text: Dec. 25 1186 - Jul. 2 1187. Amalricus vicecomes Neapolis records under seal the ending of a long dispute between him and the abbey of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat over the boundaries of land, which is above Kafrecos. With the agreement of his wife Theophania he orders and assents to a drawing of the boundaries by 3 probi homines of Nablus, dominus Bernardus Pelliparius, dominus Wido de Escar and dominus Georgius Cambitor. The boundary [divisiones et metae] is marked as follows. It runs below the wall of the vineyard of Basinus to the vineyard of Gilelmus Brito and then by marks, set on the hillside to the cavea Medequen and the vineyard already named, descending as far as the mills. Amalricus surrenders all the land within the boundaries on the eastern side as far as ima Vallis Abrahae. Witnesses: dominus Petrus prior ecclesiae Vallis Iosaphat; dominus Stephanus eiusdem domus elemosynarius; domnus Bernardus tunc prior de Eschar; of the burgenses of Nablus, dominus Bernardus Parmentarius; dominus Guido de Eschar; dominus Georgius Cambitor.
