text: Oct. 31. In the siege camp before Acre. In the tents [papuliones] of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. Clarembaudus de Noiers, who is unwell but of sound mind, addresses H. bishop of Auxerre, his mother Adeline, his wife Ada, his son Milo, his daughter Adeline and all Christians who read this letter. He makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to the Hospital of Arbonne and frater Stephanus de Corbolio. He gives a rent of 100 solidi from his land at Noiers. This he does with the agreement of the chapter of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and frater Ogerus hospitalis Iherosolimitani magnus preceptor. Witnesses: frater Ogerus domus Hospitalis Iherosolilitanus magnus preceptor; frater Galterus de Braholget; frater Stephanus de Corbolio, who had been appointed to the commandery [domus] for his lifetime by the chapter of Jerusalem; frater Robertus de Lain; frater Petrus de Ate; Stephanus li Bories de Petra Pertuis, a relative of Clarembaudus; dominus Boves d’Estables; dominus Garnerus de Creato, Montis Regalis dominus; Humbertus d’Argentoil; and others. The charter was drawn up and written at the request of dominus Clarembaldus by Baldonus Jherosolimitanus domus Hospitalis Tyri scriptor.
