text: Mar. 25 – Sept. 23. In the presence of many of his milites, Baldwin, rex Ierosolimitanus, makes an eleemosynary gift to the abbey of Mt Tabor. He confirms whatever belongs to the abbey and its monks, on condition that any property held by one of his knights should remain in that knight’s possession until his death, after which it will revert to the abbey. The names of the casalia are: Husie; Sesie; and others beyond the Jordan that are now held by Turks, Kaharthe; Teletarpe; Pereka; Ayton; Kafarsakai; Naame in monte Panya; Alma de Suchen on the mountains by Tyre; and on this side of the Jordan, Kapharchemme; Kapharseti; Sysara; Lubie and Erpelle; Casta; Mesara; Iubeim; Messa; Capharmater; Caphartamara; Salona; Maluf; Kara; Solem; Elful; Capharmanda; Creisum; Endor; Naim; Buria; Mangana; Noriz; Tubania; Ieluf. There are many others, the names of which are not known. Baldwin, rex Ierosolimis dono dei impositus, promises to return those casalia he holds within three years.

Raymond II, Dei gratia comes Tripolis, and Hodierna, eadem gratia Tripolis comitissa, make an eleemosynary grant, to the benefit of the souls of Counts Raymond I, Bertrand, William Jordan and Pons, and Raymond’s mother Sicilia, to the abbey of Mt Tabor, represented by Gaufridus abbas, Martinus prior, Garnerius monachus and Pontius Renuardi. They confirm the abbey’s possession of a casale called Bethamum/Bethsamum, with all its appurtenances, including a small part [particula] of it towards Bethelion/Bethelyon which was seized by Georgius Syrus. The territory of the casale ends in the east with the old road running between Botsoflam and Bethsamum. To the south it extends as far as the old road near Bethelyon; to the west as far as the land of St Mary of the Latins; and to the north as far as the casale of Petrus de Podio Laurentii called Monscucul. The abbot of Mt Tabor promises that a lamp will be lit on Mt Tabor for the souls of the count’s relations. Raymond, with the further consent of Hodierna and their son Raimundus, also gives the monks of Mt Tabor freedom from duty when they import or export oil or others things by land or sea. text: April. 1-30. In the chapter of the abbey of Mt Tabor. Ahuhisa Palmerii domina, daughter of the late dominus Amfossius and heiress of dominus Petrus de Castello, with the agreement of her husband dominus Rainaldus makes an eleemosynary grant to the abbey of Mt Tabor and Johannes Montis Tabor abbas. She gives the houses that had been occupied by frater Pelagius at Palmerium, which is called Solinum, a new house that [abbas Johannes] constructed when he was prior there, all the property adjoining it as far as the Gate of Cayra, an oven in which no burgensis can cook, because its use is reserved to the abbey’s familia, and all the land that frater Pelagius had in the territory of Palmerium, except for a pettius terre, which lies at the foot of the mountain. Ahuhisa also gives the burgenses of Palmerium free use of their possessions according to the customs [ad usum et consuetudinem] of Buria, except that they may not sell to milites or professed religious, saving her rights as lord. Misdemeanours by familiares of the abbey will not be judged by the lord of Palmerium but by the bajulus ecclesie, although fines will be rendered to the lord of Palmerium. He gives the right to take 1000 eels each year from the piscatoria Antiochie.
