Pope Honorius III repeats a former request to the bishop and chapter of the church of Tripoli, this time ordering firmly that they grant magister Everardus diaconus ecclesie Tripolitane a canonry in their church. He has written to the patriarch of Jerusalem, the bishop of Acre and the abbas of Mt Sion to compel them to do so.

text: Jan. 20. Rieti. Pope Honorius III orders the bishop and chapter of the church of Tripoli to provide a canonry to G. Laiguerius presbyter, an assisius of the church, who has served it for 20 years or more, notwithstanding any limit laid on the number of canons. If they do not act, he has given the cantor Beritensis, the thesaurarius Beritensis and Willelmus canonicus Beritensis orders to compel them.
