text: Apr. 7. [54] Raymond, dei gratia Antiochie princeps, extends under seal to all Venetians, represented by Johannes Boaudus/Beaudus, safe-conduct in all his land, and security in their use of weights [carates sint eis quiete et solute] in Antioch. In Portus Suidin they may employ two pack horses [somarii] for every camel. Their merchants will not be hindered or disturbed on account of any crime their people commit at sea. If any of their ships is wrecked on a coast belonging to the prince or any of his barones they will lose no goods and may salvage their ship and all in it. If they commit a crime in the prince’s domains they will be subject to Venetian law and judgement. Raymond confirms their possession of a fundicium and a garden, and houses adjacent to it, as they hold them now in the patriarchate of Aimery [of Limoges] and during the terms of office of Rogerius constabularius, Leo Maiopolus dux and Thomas vicecomes.The Venetians will pay the consuetudines they were accustomed to pay in the principate of Tancred, but with the remissions granted by Prince Bohemond II.
