text: Jan. 3. Lateran. The bishop of Famagusta has informed the pope that during the reign of King Aimery of Cyprus the tithes of 3 districts [regiones], Petalas, Constantia and Crotequi, were granted to his church, as is recorded in the privilege of Pope Celestine III. But the archbishop of Nicosia unjustly receives the tithes of the casalia of Melias and Saforia, and of other places in the districts. Pope Honorius III orders the patriarch of Jerusalem, the bishop of Bethlehem and the archdeacon of Acre to investigate and restore the tithes to the archbishop of Famagusta if that is appropriate.
