Amalric, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Hierusalem Latinorum rex quintus, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant, giving Petrus abbas and the monks of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat a rent of 1500 besants to be drawn from the land of Egypt [Aegyptum], when the country falls into the king’s hands. Witnesses: Ernesius Caesariensis archiepiscopus; Letardus Nazarenus, archiepiscopus; Bernardus Liddensis espiscopus; Guillelmus Acconensis episcopus; Henfridus constabularius; Milo dapifer; Guillelmus marescalcus; Rohardus de Ioppe. The charter was drawn up by Radulfus episcopus Bethleem regisque cancellarius.
