text: Aug. 21. With the agreement of his wife domina Plazencia Tripolis comitissa and his homines, Bohemond, the son of Prince Bohemond [III] of Antioch, Dei gratia Tripolis comes makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem in repayment for the 37000 besants owed by his predecessor Count Raymond of Tripoli. He gives the Hospital of St John, frater Gaufridus de Donjon Hospitalis magister and the brothers an annual rent of 1000 besants, freed from all servicium, to be taken from his assisia of 4000 besants, drawn from the cathena Aconis, which he holds of the king of Jerusalem. The rent will be paid in 4 instalments: at Christmas, Easter, the Nativity of St John of the Baptist and Michaelmas.
