text: Feb. 22 - Apr. 5. Pope Innocent III informs the bishops of Tripoli and Tortosa [Antaradensis] of a dispute between King Aimery of Cyprus and the church of Cyprus, represented at the Holy See by the bishop of Paphos, over tithes payable by Latin Christians, and tithes on the terciae of fruits and labour paid by Greeks, and on the offspring of animals. These have been retained by the king and others in spite of a specific decision by Pope C[elestine III] that excluded only the offspring of cattle and horses. The pope orders the bishops to enjoin the king to restore the tithes and other dues.
