text: Sept. 21. Caesarea. G[ualterius] cognomento Granerius Cesaree et Sydonie Dei gratia dominus, together with his wife Juliana and with the consent of his barones, makes an eleemosynary grant to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. He confirms all the gifts and eleemosynary grants made by his father Eustachius, who gave: houses in Caesarea with two curtiles and freedom from taxation on sales and purchases; a casale outside Caesarea called Aldefie; houses with curtiles in Cacho; curtiles given by G., the lord’s vicecomes, and Alo, for which the lord of Caesarea had made an exchange; 4 carrugae terrae ad serendum et garetandum at Cacho and 2 carrugae given by H. Lumbardus with the consent of Eustachius. Galterius has himself given 2 carrugae terrae ad serendum et garetandum in Cafarsalem and a further 2 from the land [a principio terre] of Rambaldus, which is worked in Marescum on the road to the river. If that land fails the Hospital will be given up to 4 carrugae terrae ad serendum et garetandum of the better land to be found in Sabulone. He also gives the Hospital Calumzum. His charter is confirmed by: G. Granerius; domina Juliana; W. de S. Bertino; Ricardus vicecomes Caesaree; Balduinus dapifer Caesaree; Eustachius Seufflellus; Johannes de Bellorano; Rainerius Furnarius; Isimbardus; Gualterius de Merula; Gualterius vicecomes Chaco; Nicolaus de Trano; Azzo de Curia; Albertus camerarius. The charter is handed to dominus Raymundus magister Hospitalis, in the presence of the above and of Hospitaller witnesses: Andreas sacerdos; Willelmus Bertrandi; Aldebrandus Chaco; Gerardus de Calumzum; Martinus Regis.
