The house may be given, sold or pledged to all except churches, milites, Suriani and other peoples who are not obedient to the Church of Rome, but if the intention is a sale the bajulus domorum of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem must be told and the Order will have preemption rights. Census of 3 and a half besants will be payable each year on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The house is situated in vico S. Johannis Evangeliste in the territory of the Hospital [in Jerusalem]. To the east is the rua Ispanie, to the west the rua S. Johannis Evangeliste, to the south the house of Bernardus de Blanchagarda, and to the north the house of Ugo de Romai. The Hospital is paid 2 besants and 2 solidi for its consent to this purchase. At the will and agreement of Raimundus comes Tripolis et tocius regni procurator, Baldwin, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex septimus, makes a sealed grant to Ioscelinus, his uncle and senescalcus, giving him an annual rent of 400 besants, to be drawn from the funda of Acre for 4 years dating from the next Feast of All Saints, payable in the instalments customary with the funda, the first instalment being at Candlemas. This is in repayment for 1600 besants which Ioscelinus has loaned to the king. If the rent is tithed within the 4 years, Ioscelinus may also recover the cost of the tithe. Count Raymond III of Tripoli grants the Pisans in Tyre: houses on the city wall that belonged to the Knights Templar, with a tower and a platea nearby, stretching to the sea near their fondacum above the city wall; houses that belonged to the sons of the late Balduinus Pisanus next to the platea by the sea and next to their fundacum; houses that belonged to Matheus Iohannis Guidi, next to the platea by the sea, that extend from the houses of the sons of Balduinus to the houses of Vguicio Taliaventi and Guinus Pisanus; and houses that belonged to the king where there was a scriptorium [in which cartule were made] and are behind the fundacum of the Pisans. Raymond concedes to the Pisans the right to use weights and measures [statera, pensae, modia et mensurae] for wine, oil and everything that can be measured for themselves and for those buying from them; and outside Tyre a water mill [molendinum aque].
