Aimery, Dei gratia rex Cipri et regni Jerosolymitani comestabulus, makes a sealed grant to Joscius Tyrensis archiepiscopus, giving him the casale in Cyprus called Levadi/Livardi/Livadi for his lifetime with all its rights and villani, as were previously held by Minas turcopulus. He gives the archbishop the right to all the produce and the freedom to export it without any exaction. After the death of Joscius the casale will pass to his nephew Simon and after Simon’s death to the church of Tyre. He adds the following gifts: the right to take a rotula of sugar each day from the sugar press [masarium] in his casale called Fiergio for the needs of the sick in the hospital; in Casale Vmberti and his other casalia in the region of Acre the right to take each year 1 clicha of wheat and 1 clicha of barley from every worked carruca, to be provided by the rustici; 5 carrublae paid by the rustici for every 100 goats wintering in Aimery’s land, and 2 out of the 10 carrublae which Aimery levies for every 10 goats; 3 karrublae provided by the rustici for every carrucata owing Aimery 2 besants. Aimery confirms the eleemosynary gifts and old freedom [francisia] granted to the hospital in Cyprus by King Amalric. They recount how the late dominus Iaczo visited the church of the Holy Sepulchre and asked that canons should return with him to Poland. A canon went back with him. With the agreement of the dukes, the canons of the Holy Sepulchre were given many properties and liberties, which are listed. They appeal for more alms-giving.
