text: Jun. 26. Before Tripoli. In the presence of Baldwin, rex Ierosolimitani, Count Bertrand of St Gilles gives the church of St Laurence of the Genoese the whole of Gibeleth; castrum Rogerii constabularii; one third of the town of Tripoli, including everything from one sea to the other, as far as the Bafumaria belonging to the king, with blocks of houses [insulae] and the port. Bertrand hands this gift over to Guillelmus Embriacus, Obertus Ususmaris, Ingo Pedegola and Ansaldus Caput de Burgo. Bertrand concedes that no Genoese or man from Savona, Noli, Albenga resident along the coast from Nice to Portovenere, nor any Lombard in their company, will pay tributus when they transport pilgrims. If any of these men suffer at the hands of his subjects, Bertrand will render justice within 15 days.
