The archbishop of Nicosia has informed Pope Honorius III that the queen of Cyprus intends to marry Boamundus, the son of Count Bohemond of Tripoli, in spite of the fact that this is prohibited on the grounds of consanguinity. The pope leaves it to the archbishop, as the queen’s diocesan, to investigate and enforce canon law.
