Patriarch Albert of Jerusalem confirms under seal an eleemosynary gift made in his presence to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem by Aalys, the daughter of Turginus and a consoror of the Hospital. She gives 4 carrucate terre with houses in casale Geschale, which Turginus had bought for 1000 besants from King Guy and Queen Sibylla, when they were Joppensis et Ascalonensis comes et comitissa. She delivers the charter of that sale to frater Isembardus Hospitalis magnus preceptor and frater Ricardus Hospitalis thesaurarius. She also leaves the Hospital an eleemosynary gift of 100 besants, to be paid on her death by the sale of a rent [censuales] of 50 besants a year payable to her by Thomas Pisanus for houses he holds of her in the vicus Catene at Acre, situated before the house of Johannes Daht. The houses border on the east the public way [via publica] and on the south the house of the daughter of Joannes Daht. On the north they adjoin the house of Tortosa and on west overlook the sea, called Lordamer. Any surplus from the sale of the rent can be distributed in alms for her soul.
