text: Dec. 25 1160 - Dec. 24 1161. Lethardus ecclesie Nazarene archiepiscopus and his convent record under seal that he has ended the dispute between the church of Nazareth and the abbey of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat over the tithes of Ligio. The abbot of St Mary will pay a fourth part of the tithes of Ligio and Tannoc, will provide support, defined as food for men, barley for horses and beds [paleae] and candles, for 20 men and their horses, will send 4 rotula of wax [cereos IIII rotularum] and will assure the archbishop of the obedience of the chaplains [capellani] in the church of Ligio, so long as the rest of the tithes are drawn from lands worked by the monks themselves. The archbishop asserts his right to tithes of the platea, ovens and gardens, and those owed by lay persons.
