text: Mar. 30. Lateran. Pope Innocent III has been informed by G. de Montebiliardi regni Iier[oso]l[im]itani comestabulus et Cypri regis tutor et bajulus regni [Cypri] that there had been an agreement between the late King Aimery of Cyprus and comes Henricus Ier[oso]l[im]itani regni dominus on the marriage of their sons and daughters, and over the county of Jaffa. The pope orders the patriarch of Jerusalem, papal legate, to see that the agreement is observed, once he has enquired into the truth of the matter.

text: Jul. 23. Rieti. Pope Honorius III again admonishes the queen of Cyprus, her son H., his balius, the comestabulus, barones, milites and homines of Cyprus. The archbishop of Nicosia and his suffragans have petitioned the pope to ensure that the laity observe the agreement on tithes, possessions and other things that was mediated by Cardinal Pelagius of Albano, the papal legate. The pope demands that they do so. Since C. episcopus Amachistensis, who has been working on this matter at the curia for 4 years, is absent from Cyprus, the pope is writing to the archbishop of Caesarea and the bishops of Acre and Beirut to enforce the agreement.

text: Feb. 19. Viterbo. Pope Gregory IX informs the preceptor and brothers of the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans in Acre that according to the terms of the agreement reached between the emperor Frederick and the subjects of the kingdom of Jerusalem, the prince of Antioch is to become bajulus and hold all the land, including the city of Tyre. But the citadel of Tyre is to be held by the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans on behalf of the emperor and his son Conrad.
