text: Dec. 17 1139 or Jan. 17 1140. Lateran. Pope Innocent II rebukes Patriarch William of Jerusalem for trying to prevent Fulcherus Tyrensis archiepiscopus receiving the pallium and for refusing to carry out the pope’s mandate that judgement should be made with respect to Haifa [Caypha seu Porphyria] within 3 months. William should respect the honour and dignity of Fulcherius and render him justice within 40 days. Otherwise the pope will withdraw William’s suffragans from their obedience to him.
