text: Jan 6. Johannes de Vilers, originating in the diocese of Noyon, recognises the favour done to him by the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem in extricating him from imprisonment by the Muslims [pagani] and becomes a confrater of the Hospital. In the presence of Patriarch A[lbert] of Jerusalem, and dominus cesariensis archiepiscopus, he makes an eleemosynary grant, sealed by the patriarch, to the Hospital, giving it property in Picardy, although preserving rents already enjoyed from it, and renounces his opposition to an entry gift made to it by his father who was also a confrater. Witnesses: Johannes de Vilers, who signs with his own hand; Godafridus de Guise; Girardus de Argival; Hugo de Spinosa; Macharius de Chaplenes; Petrus de Saintes; Halardus de Insula; Simon Platecorne; Rainaldus de Sancto Ciriaco; Terricus de Sancto Hylario; Guerricus de Vallecort; Bartholomeus de Maisieres; Symon de Ribemont; Rainaldus de Garci; Godefridus de Flaveigni.
