text: *Apr. 8. On campaign against Ascalon. Gaufridus de Flagiaco/Geofroy de Flujeac makes an eleemosynary grant to the Hospital of St John in Jerusalem, giving it a casale called Kalansue. The casale is surrounded by the casalia of Artha, Fardasie, Aldie, Kalodie, Arthaba, Beselechie and Burin. The gift is confirmed as an eleemosynary grant by Johannes de Bethzan and Hugo de Bethzan, the brothers of his deceased wife Euphemia, from whom he held the casale. The gift is also confirmed as an eleemosynary grant sealed by Domnus Galterius Cesariensis, in whose lordship [dominium et territorium] the casale is situated. The casale is handed over to Master Raymond of the Hospital, in the presence of King Baldwin II and his army, who are ravaging the territory of Ascalon.
