text: Feb. 8. Benevento. Pope Alexander III, following his predecessors Popes Paschal II, Innocent II, Lucius II, Anastasius II and Adrian IV, confirms for Patriarch Amalric of Jerusalem his rights in all cities and provinces conquered by the kings of Jerusalem, Baldwin I, Baldwin II, Fulk, Baldwin III and Amalric. He refers particularly to tithes, churches and other rights in Jericho, Daron and Nablus and in places in which bishops once ruled and no longer do so.

text: Oct. 13 1167 or 1169. Benevento. At the request of the Genoese, Pope Alexander III orders Patriarch Amalric of Jerusalem, together with the archbishops, bishops and abbots in the kingdom of Jerusalem, to encourage King Amalric to restore the golden inscription displayed in the church of the Holy Sepulchre [in Templo] and to observe the privileges granted to the Genoese in his kingdom.
