In honour of the western Emperor Henry VI and at the request of Samarus Tranensis archiepiscopus, who brought the grant of the kingdom of Cyprus with the sceptre, Aimery [in the text Guy de Luczignano] Dei gratia rex Cipri, makes a sealed grant to the citizens of Trani, giving them freedom to come and go, import and export merchandise and buy and sell in Cyprus without the payment of any commercium.
