text: Mar. 8/27 - Sept. 23. [110] Bohemond III, son of Prince Raymond, dei gratia princeps Antiochenus, makes a sealed grant to the doge, senate, commune and people of Venice, represented by Dominicus Bonus. He remits half of all the consuetudo that Venetian merchants were accustomed to pay in the principality of Antioch. He gives them free carates and assures them of security when travelling in, entering and leaving Antioch and all his land. Their merchants [negociatores] will not be hindered in consequence of any offence [forifactus] perpetrated by their men at sea or elsewhere. If any Venetian ship [navis] is wrecked on his coast the Venetians will suffer no loss. They may hold their own court [curia] in their fondicium/fonditium in Antioch, to which they will alone be answerable, and they may make judgements and resolve disputes according to their own laws. Witnesses: Silvester consanguineus principis; Reinaldus de Margat; Robertus filius Gaufredi; Eschiuardus senescalcus; Petrus Camerarius; Guillermus Tirelli marescalcus; Petrus de Hasar; Rotgenus de surda valle; Bonablus Baufredus; Petrus de Melfa vicecomes.
