Master Guérin de Montagu commissions frère Pierre de Garamont and Gilles Gérald chapelain to go to Rome to inform the pope and the college of cardinals of the dispute over the city of Gibel between the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and the Knights Templar, who argue that the city had been given to them by Bohemond IV, count of Tripoli and prince of Antioch. The emissaries are to suggest as judge delegates Cardinal Pelagius of Albano, the papal legate in the East, the archbishop of Caesarea and either the bishop of Bethlehem or the archbishop of Nicosia.

Henricus comes Ruthenensis, who is gravely ill, confirms under seal his earlier testament [October 18 1221], adding that he wishes his body to be treated by the Hospital as it would one of its brothers. He also leaves the Knights Templar property in France. He leaves the Hospital all the possessions and horses he has in the East. The magister of the Hospital should pay the legacies he has left to his household [familia], with reimbursement from his property in France should the costs exceed what he has in the East. He adds a codicil, assigning money and goods to Bertrandus de Massereolis, Bernardus, Petrus Cornutus, Huguetus, Gerardus, Santius Ortric, Johannina, magister Bertrandus ipsius notarius, Bertrandus de Provincia, Raymundus de Arnaldo, Petrus Durandus de Amisau, Petrus de Peicols, Stephanus Calca, Emblardus de Cairaco, Guilelmus archiepiscopus Burdigalensis presbyter suus, Geraldus de Baucapeis, Berardus, Raymundus de Malo castello and Geraldus Albertus. He absolves Deodatus de Castlus, Jordanenus and [the family] de Salis [from their debts]. text: Dec. 24. With the agreement of her sisters, Maria, monasterii S. Marie Magdalene in Accon ordinis Cisterciensis abbatissa, records that she has received from frater Guarinus de Monte Acuto sancte domus Hospitalis Iherusalem magister et Christi pauperum custos and his brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem houses with a platea for a rent, payable each Christmas, of 25 Saracen besants, which will not be affected by any damage that might occur to the houses. The rental agreement has been confirmed in a charter issued by the Hospital of St John. The houses with the platea are situated in the suburb of Acre, in the place commonly called Mons Musardus. On the east they front on to the public way that goes from S. Egidius to the Magdalena. On the south they adjoin the land of Guido de Glia Pisanus. On the west is another public way and on the north they adjoin the abbey of S. Maria Magdalena. At the request of the nuns of S. Maria Magdalena, magister Petrus prior dominici Sepulchri, vicarius domini patriarche, and the chapter of the church of Acre affix their seals.
