text: Aug. 1-24. Genoa. King Philip II of France, having reached Genoa on the outward passage of his crusade, confirms under seal the rights offered to the Genoese by Hugo dux Burgundie, excepting only whatever rights the king of England might have in jointly conquered territories. He refers to the following who, with Hugo, swore to observe the concessions on his behalf: Radulfus de Cuciaco, Matheus de Montemorociaco, Gualterius capellanus regis and Albericus marescalcus.
