R. sancti temple domini quod est in iehrusalem abbas, together with his chapter, confirms an agreement made in the chapter of Trani and Barletta relating to the church of St Mary Magdalene in Barletta, now held by frater Guillelmus canonicus Templum Domini, and the obedience owed to the archbishop of Trani. The agreement was negotiated by Ricardus and Rainerius, brothers of the Templum Domini.

Pope Alexander III informs the abbots of Templum Domini, Mt Sion and St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat and the prior of the Mt of Olives that at times when the patriarch of Jerusalem is absent or ill, or the patriarchate is vacant, the prior and brothers of the Holy Sepulchre should be received in solemn procession and should celebrate Mass in the patriarch’s place.

Patriarch Eraclius of Jerusalem confirms under seal an agreement reached by the Templum Domini and St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat over the tithes due to the Templum Domini for the casale of Saphet in the territory of Nablus and for half of a gastina called in Arabic Medeclala, which St Mary had bought from Guido Raicius. St Mary will pay the Templum Domini each year at Martinmas 12 besants for the tithe of Saphet and 10 besants for the tithe of Medeclala. Witnesses: Rainaldus abbas Montis Syon; Dalmacius Jerusalem archidiaconus; of the canons of the Templum Domini, Gillebertus; Willelmus cellerarius; Rainaldus; Franco; of the monks of St Mary, Petrus prior; Stephanus eleemosinarius; Octavianus subprior; Helias cellararius; Giranus thesaurarius; Bernardus prior de Sichar. With the agreement of his wife Eschiva, Aimery, Dei gratia dominus Cipri, makes a sealed grant to Petrus abbas Dominici Templi and his canons of a curtis in Nicosia, within which is built the chapel [capella] of St Mary, and a prestia built by his late brother King Guy near the river in the direction of casale Vuillelmi de Balma, with 10 carucate terre around the prestia. The Templum Domini can freely send the wheat [bladum] harvested by the canons’ own labour to the land of Jerusalem. In return the abbot has given Aimery a beautiful ruby [rubinus], weighing 2 and a half besants. Witnesses: Balduinus Bethsam comestabulus; Hugo Martini mareschalcus; Aymericus de Riveth; Raynaldus Betlay; Reynerius de Biblio; Vualterius le Bel; Alanus de le Bel; Baldoynus de Novavilla; Balduinus Hostiarius; magister Petrus Vuasco; magister Bernardus medicus.
