text: Oct. 21. Acre. Guy, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex octavus, records under seal a marriage agreement with comes Ioscelinus, his senescalcus. Ioscelinus will give his first-born daughter in marriage to Guy’s brother Guillelmus/Gwillelmus de Valence, together with Toronum, Castrum Nouum, all the land Ioscelinus purchased from Iohannes camerarius, and Cabor. If the daughter should die before maturity [infra annos nubiles] Guillelmus will marry the second daughter. Should Guillelmus marry the elder daughter, Ioscelinus will marry his younger daughter to one of Guy’s nephews, giving her the rest of his lands and those of his mother. Should Guillelmus not come to the East or marry either of the daughters, Ioscelinus will marry both of them to Guy’s nephews. If Guillelmus does come, Ioscelinus will give him a rent of 4000 besants a year until the marriage takes place. Thereafter, Guillelmus will get the properties promised or will continue to enjoy the the annual rent of 4000 besants while Ioscelinus lives.
