text: Jul. 1-31. Many churchmen from religious houses in Syria have been coming to Greece after its conquest and the Holy Land ought to benefit from its resources. Cardinal Peter of St Marcellus, the papal legate, informs M. abbas and the convent of the abbey of Mt Tabor that he has granted them the monastery of S. Maria de Costa and that he has put Jordanus prior and Gaufridus, a monk of Mt Tabor, in possession, on condition that the resident Greek monks are not displaced for the time being. [284]
