In return for service from 24 Jun. to 15 Aug. the Venetians will receive a church, a market place [platea convenientia ad forum] and immunity from dues on commerce in every city by the sea or inland that the Franks [Francigenae] have taken or will take. The spoil, gathered from every city which is taken jointly, will be divided, with one-third going to the Venetians and two-thirds to the Franks [Francigenae]. If Tripoli should fall, the spoil shall be equally divided with half going to St Mark, unless the Venetians surrender part to Jerusalem each year in recognition of its sanctity. Local lords will not demand rights of shipwreck if a Venetian vessel should founder.
