The monks can bury in the cemetery those who attend the church and also whomsoever they wish. He gives St Mary the tithe of the viridarium which is next to the church. He confirms all St Mary’s possessions in the territory of Sidon. The gift consisted of a mahomeria situated outside Sidon, near the barbican that faces in the direction of Tyre, and a verger, including the gardener who cultivates it, together with his heirs, and a casale that Engerannus Luvet had given to the abbey. This was approved by Eustace’s brother Walter, in the presence of their mother Emma. The king also gives another casale called Sardanas which is close to [ante] the city of Tyre, except for part of the land between the mountain and the king’s viridarium, which he retains for his own use. He orders Paganus his cancellarius to seal the charter with his lead seal.Witnesses: Milissenda filia regis et regni Ierosolimitani haeres; Hugo Ioppe dominus; Ansellus de Bria; Barianus Iope constabularius; Ioannes camerarius; Hulricus Neapolis vicecomes; Bernardus Vaccarius; Hemelinus vicecancellarius, who wrote the charter. He specifies: in the territory of Jerusalem 2 parts of the casale of Bethsan; the tithes of the gardens and mills of Siloam; the lands and vineyards belonging to the abbey in the same territory, together with the tithe, conceded to the abbey by Willelmus prior Sancti Sepulcri and the canons of the Holy Sepulchre to ensure peace, of 2 carrucae, one of which had belonged to Guido de Miliaco, the other to Balianus Joppensis; in the territory of Nablus the tithe of the 2 casalia of Aschar and Betheri; in the territory of Acre the tithe of the casale called Cassara and of 4 carrucae of land and olive trees belonging to the monks in the casale of Hubertus de Paceo; half the tithe of Balianus at Betheri and of the land of Beroaldus which is situated on the hillside; and all the tithe of the 3 casalia of Balduinus Ramatensis called Gemail, Serra and Bethbezim and of the 2 casalia called Taret and Tarfin, which used to belong to Gaufredus de Turri. Duke (dux) Godfrey and his brother King Baldwin I gave an oven, mills, houses and gardens inside Jerusalem and lands and vineyards outside, the Pool of Siloam together with mills, a ditch [fossa] and gardens, and two parts of the casale of Bethsau. Comes Guarnerius gave a casale called Ascar and this was later confirmed by King Baldwin I, who gave 2 carrucatae of land in the territory of Jaffa. Tancred gave a casale called Tymini, situated on the side of Mt Carmel, and houses, an oven and lands within and outside the castle [castrum] of Haifa. King Baldwin I gave a house in Acre and a casale called Cassera in the mountains; at Sidon a viridarium, a machomeria outside the city and a casale called Cafarabra, with the agreement of Eustachius Granerius; at Beirut houses, an oven, a mill and a viridarium inside the city and 2 carrucatae of land outside. Eustachius Granerius gave a casale called Betalla in the territory of Caesarea and a house in the city of Caesarea, with the agreement of King Baldwin I. Pisellus vicecomes gave a casale called Meschium and lands by the road that leads to the River Jordan, and in the territory of Belcha across the river a casale called Bessura, with the agreement of King Baldwin I.
