When an abbot of St Paul visits St Mary he will be received as an abbot and can enter the choir and chapter and in the absence of the abbot of St Mary can absolve the monks from excommunication. Monks from St Mary visiting St Paul will be treated as if members of the same congregation. Monks who leave in discord from St Mary will be received by St Paul but will be disciplined and will be expected to make peace with their own community, but they will be sent away if they have been excommunicated.
