text: *Apr. 1. Jerusalem. Godfrey of Bouillon gives Patriarch Daibert, representing the church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Tower of David and the entire city of Jerusalem, together with whatever he has in Jaffa, on condition that he keeps possession of these until Godfrey has enlarged his realm by taking Old Cairo [Babilon] or other cities. Should Godfrey die without male heir, Jerusalem and the rest of Jaffa should pass to the church of the Holy Sepulchre.
