text: Mar. 15-31 Antioch. In the prince’s palatium. Bohemond, magni Boamundi filius Dei gratia princeps Antiochen[us], makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. He confirms donations made by Bohemond [of Taranto], Tancred and other princes and barones of Antioch. They include a house with a garden next to it, which is situated close by the church of St John Chrysostom in Antioch; a canuta in the vicus of the Amalfitans in Antioch; a domuncula with a garden in the vicus of St Paul in Antioch. He confirms the gift by Bohemond I of three casalia outside Antioch: Assis; Ursan; and Melessin. He also confirms the gifts of Casale Balilas in the territory of Harenc; Casale Churar in the territory of Aronia; Casale Cizemburc in the territory of Turbassella; a gastina before Tilium called Aganir; Casale Cadir; Casale Nubeirac; Casale Sarare in the land of Mamistra; Casale Muserac in the territory of Cafardan. Bohemond [II] also gives the Hospital of St John the freedom to enter and leave his dominions without paying consuetudines or any exactio curiae. text: †Dec. 1-31. Antioch. [40] In the patriarch’s camera. Bohemond, magni Boamundi filius, Dei gratia princeps Antiochenus, confirms everything given to the Genoese by his father Bohemond [of Taranto], saving patriarchal jurisdiction [salva iusticia Beati Petri], in Antioch, Portus Sudinum and Latakia. He specifies a ruga in Antioch, running between 2 watercourses, and a funditia; a ruga and a third part of the port revenues in Latakia; and in Suidinum a third part of the port revenues. He promises his protection in law. If he conquers anywhere with Genoese assistance he promises the same rights as in Latakia. Any legal dispute will be settled within 15 days. He exempts the Genoese from the payment of comercium throughout his domain and he extends the privileges of the Genoese to the inhabitants of Savona and Nola.
