Henry, par la grace de Deu roi de Chypre, records that he has given Balian d’Ybelin seignor de Baruth et conestable de Chypre and [his wife] Eschive de Mombelian the casalia called Esteriga and Paleochorio, with the villains, villaines and children living in them, but with the exception of gifts made by his ancestors and the droiture de l’apaut de laudene. Now, in Henry’s presence and that of his court [cort], Balian de Ybelin and Eschive make an eleemosynary grant of Esteriga and Paleochorio to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, represented by frere Guillaume de Forest comandor, with the exceptions already specified.
