Vitalis Faletro, resident de confiniis S Moysi, hands over to the doge Petro Ziani and the commune of Venice the casale called Metessele in the Venetian third of the territory of Tyre, situated on the border between Tyre and the region of Scandelion, which had belonged to Dominicus Batiauro and had been given and enfeoffed to Vitalis by his brother the late Leo Faletro, who was prelatus of the Venetian third of the city. The boundaries of the casale are described in a charter issued in April 1171 by the doge Vital Michele. If Vitalis Faletro or his heirs should ever challenge this, he promises to pay the commune 5 auri librae. Venetian witnesses and notary.
