Amalric, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex quintus, establishes under seal an agreement between the abbey and monks of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat and Balduinus vicecomes Neapolis. Balduinus and his heirs will hold of the monks of St Mary the casale called Cafarcos, which Queen Melisende gave St Mary in alms, together with the land which descends as far as the water from Cavea. He will pay St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat 80 besants a year, due within 15 days of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. If he or his heirs break this agreement, the casale, together with any buildings and improvements, will revert to St Mary.
