Appealed to by the archbishop of Nicosia and his suffragans, Pope Gregory IX orders the patriarch of Jerusalem, the papal legate, to enforce the agreement between the king of Cyprus, the queen his mother, Ph. de Ybellino balius, the comestabulus, barones, milites and homines of Cyprus on one side and the Cypriot church on the other, as mediated by Cardinal Pelagius of Albano, which is still not observed by the laity.

Patriarch Gerold of Jerusalem appends his seal to this confirmation.
