Euremar Caesariensis archiepiscopus makes an eleemosynary grant, giving St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat a cemetery in the church that was once called Mahumeria, next to the city of Sidon. The monks can bury in the cemetery those who attend the church and also whomsoever they wish. He gives St Mary the tithe of the viridarium which is next to the church. He confirms all St Mary’s possessions in the territory of Sidon. Witnesses: Renerius frater meus; Haymo levita, Philippus ecclesiae Sydonis sacerdos et canonicus; Arnaldus Dominici Templi canonicus, who wrote the charter.

[Eustache] Granerius, with the agreement of his wife Papia and his barons, confirms the gift made to St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat by King Baldwin I at the request of his father Eustache Grenier. The gift consisted of a mahomeria situated outside Sidon, near the barbican that faces in the direction of Tyre, and a verger, including the gardener who cultivates it, together with his heirs, and a casale that Engerannus Luvet had given to the abbey. This was approved by Eustace’s brother Walter, in the presence of their mother Emma. Confirming everything the Hospital has in the county, they refer specifically to: the villae given by Raymond I and confirmed by Pons’s father Bertrand; the besants that Count William had levied on the cattle [bubus] of the Suriani working in the villae; lands beyond the bridge at Mont Pèlerin given by Raymond I and Bertrand; a magnificent house [domum optimam] by the sea in the port of Tripoli; a field [campus] before the city of Tripoli; freedom from teloneum in the port of Tripoli and in the platea, so that the men of the Hospital can buy and sell without exaction; villae, lands and houses given by Raymond I and Bertrand in the city of Rafania and its territory, so that a hospital for the poor [hospicium pauperum], which is now in the hands of Galterius, could be built there; everything given to the Hospital in the city of Tortosa and its territory, whether at lo Camel or elsewhere. He confirms everything given to the Hospital at Tortosa or in its territory or in the castle [castrum] called Kamel, or elsewhere, together with mills at Kamel; the villae, lands and houses, mills, oven and bath house given by Raymond I and Bertrand in the city of Rafania and its territory, so that a hospital for the poor [hospicium pauperum], which was held by Galterius, could be built there. Pons gives permission to all men who hold lands of him to give the Hospital 1 villanus each. He adds a vineyard at Kafaracha, from which 100 jarrae of wine can be produced. He confirms the gifts made by his barones at the time the church of St John the Baptist on Mont Pèlerin was consecrated, with the agreement of Bernardus Tripolitanus episcopus, Geraldus Rafaniensis episcopus and Raimundus Tortosanus episcopus. They include a house with a garden next to it, which is situated close by the church of St John Chrysostom in Antioch; a canuta in the vicus of the Amalfitans in Antioch; a domuncula with a garden in the vicus of St Paul in Antioch. He confirms the gift by Bohemond I of three casalia outside Antioch: Assis; Ursan; and Melessin. He also confirms the gifts of Casale Balilas in the territory of Harenc; Casale Churar in the territory of Aronia; Casale Cizemburc in the territory of Turbassella; a gastina before Tilium called Aganir; Casale Cadir; Casale Nubeirac; Casale Sarare in the land of Mamistra; Casale Muserac in the territory of Cafardan.
