text: *Summer. King Aimery of Jerusalem appeals for assistance to Pope Innocent III, who refers to his emissaries in letters to the kings of France and England [c. Dec. 15-20 1199]. Perhaps in response to the pope’s request for information, Aimery has reported the lack of manpower in the Latin East, but has added that quarrels amongst the Sarraceni could lead to a Christian recovery.

text: Oct. 1-31. With the agreement of his wife the Lady Queen Isabella, daughter of King Amalric, Aimery, dei gracia rex Ierusalem Latinorum nonus et rex Cypri, records under seal that he has sold to the brothers of the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans a casale called Lebassa in the territory of Acre, together with a property called Massop, which is presently a gastina, for 2300 Saracen besants. The brothers will hold the casale and gastina on the same terms as they were held by Iohannes regius marsecalcus. Aimery’s homines have established the boundaries. Witnesses: Comes Bertodus; Bertodus eius filius; Rainaldus Sydoniensis; Azemarus Cesariensis; Iohannes de Ybelino regius conestabulus; Terricus de Orca; Balduinus de Betsan; Iohannes regius marescalcus; Vilanus de Alnetho; Terricus de Tenero Monte; Garnerius de Eyssem; Willelmus de Petra; Muissardus; Adam Coste. The charter was drawn up by Iocius Tyrensis archiepiscopus regnique cancellarius.

text: Mar. 1-31. Nicosia. Aimery, Dei gratia Latinorum rex nonus et rex Cipro, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to Patriarch [Aymar] Monachus of Jerusalem and the chapter of the Holy Sepulchre. He gives them a casale in Cyprus called Pendache with its villani and other dependencies, freed from all servitium. He excludes the fons Sancti Georgii with 10 carrucatae around it, which he had already given to the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans, and the gifts that he and his brother King Guy had donated to their homines. Witnesses: Aymericus de Rivet senescalcus Cypri; Rainerius Bibliot[ensis]; Rainaldus Suess[ionensis]; Rustanus Aymar; Raynaldus de Balma; Guillelmus de Balma frater ejus; Symon Paphensis; Balduinus Usseri[us].
