text: Oct. 4. Acre. Baldwin, per gratiam dei in sancta Hierusalem Latinorum rex quartus, with the agreement of his mother Queen Melisende and his brother Amalricus comes Ascalonitanus, confirms under seal the gift made by Humfredus de Torono constabularius regis to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, in the service of Christ’s poor. With the agreement of his son Humfredus and his daughters, and of Gualterius Berythensis, in whose feodum it had been, and of Gualterius’s brothers Guido and Bernard, Humfredus de Torono gave half of the castellum of Paneas. Humfredus also gave the Hospital half of Castellum Novum, houses belonging to domna Albereha de Torono, 2 vineyards in the territory of Toron, which Guido de Scandalione had given, and a hospitale in Toron. Witnesses: Petrus archiepiscopus Tyrensis; Fredericus episcopus Achonensis; Adam episcopus Paneadensis; Girardus Sydoniensis; Guillelmus Tiberiadensis; Philippus Neapolitanus; Hugo Cęsariensis; Guormundus Tyberiadensis; Guido Francigena; Henricus Bubalus. The charter was drawn up by Radulfus Bethleemitę episcopus regisque cancellarius.
