Josbertus magister Hospitalis Iherusalem, with the agreement of all his chapter, cedes to Meletus Surianus, Surianorum et Graecorum Gazam et Jabin habitantium finesque eorum archiepiscopus, the monastery [monasterium] of S. Georgius at Bersabee, which the Latins call Gybelin, for his lifetime, on condition that after his death the monastery will revert to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, with all the improvements that have been made. This will be treated as an eleemosynary gift to the poor of the Hospital, made on behalf of the [Byzantine] emperor Manuel. Meletus is received into the confraternity of the Hospital.
