text: Dec. 25 1158? - Mar. 13 1159. Nablus? With the agreement of her son King Baldwin III, Melisende, dei gratia Ierosolimorum regina, makes a sealed eleemosynary gift to Willelmus abbas and the monks of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat of a casale called Cafracos, which is situated not far from St Mary’s casale called Aschar. Excluded from the gift is a particula terre in the possession of a certain turcopolus. In return a priest will offer Mass at the tomb of the Blessed Virgin Mary for Melisende’s benefit and that of her relations. Witnesses: Amalricus patriarcha Ierosolimitanus; Gerardus Laodicensis episcopus; Amalricus, Iopensium comes; Rohardus Neapolitanus; Balduinus, vicecomitis Neapolitani filius; Balduinus Bubalus vicecomes Neapolitanus; Iohannes de Valentienes; Iohannes Uacarius; Gerardus Passerellus; magister Stephanus; Gislebertus de Funda.
