text: Oct. 1-31. Raymond III, Dei gratia Tripolitanorum comes, and his wife Eschiva comitissa make a sealed eleemosynary grant to the poor and brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and Rogerius ejusdem domus magister. They give them Castrum Rubrum with all its rights, lands, casalia, tenants [casati] and villani. They also give a casale called Turris Bertranii Milonis, which Bertranius had in pledge from dominus Rainuardus. Witnesses: Ugo Biblii dominus; ejus filius Ugo; Raimundus de Biblio; Bertranus Porcelet; Arbertus Saramanni; Astafortis; Ugo Senzaver; Raimundus Tripolis mariscalcus; Rustenus de S. Montano; Guillelmus Berenger; Albericus de Rancorolis; Johannes de Suura; Raimundus de Suura; Raimundus Constantinus; Petrus Monacus; Sais; Ugo Moresinus; Mattheus cancellarius, who drew up the charter.
