He gives it a rent of 30 besants, to be paid from the returns, which are commonly called cavages, of his villani in the casale of Turron. The rent will be paid annually on the Feast of St Hilary. Humphrey has his gift authenticated with the seal of Petrus Tirensis ecclesie archiepiscopus, who threatens with excommunication anyone who violates this donation. To compensate the leprosary of St Lazarus, which owned the mill, she makes a sealed eleemosynary gift to St Lazarus of a 5 terre carruatae of vines on the plain of Bethlehem on condition that Georgius and Salomon, the cultivators of the vineyard, receive half the produce of their labour.
